Hello Community Group Leader!
The Alpha Class needs your Community Group help in preparing meals for the eleven Monday night meetings! Would you respond to this email by December 19 so we can determine if this meal preparation strategy will work?
CFC Leadership has decided to run another Alpha Class in 2025! You saw the first one offered earlier in 2024. In August you were given the option to go through the Alpha Class with your CG in September as a way of becoming familiar with Alpha so that you could invite your friends, coworkers, etc. to the next CFC Alpha Class in February 2025.
Here's our first ask from Community Groups for the 2025 Alpha Class: Would your group consider preparing one of the eight meals for 40+ people (actual number to be determined by registrations in early February) Monday nights 6:30-8:15 from February 24 - April 21? And here's our second ask: If you volunteer to prepare a meal, would you consider contributing to the Alpha ministry by buying all or some percentage of the food? The average cost per person of a meal is about $6.00. So, 40 people would cost $240, 60 would cost $360, etc. If your group is willing to buy 100%, 75%, 50%, etc. of the meal, that would greatly help our budget! You will see a field when you register where you can volunteer to fund a portion of the meal, if you desire to do so!

Nicky talks about the importance of groups of people going through Alpha together sharing a meal. The meal is a key, very important part of the groups creating friendship and trust that enables people to have honest and open conversations during the discussions following the video teaching.

Our Chef has designed a number of meals to chose from with all ingredients required. He will instruct your group on how to prepare everything, but your group will do the actual buying and cooking.
The Alpha Classes will be Monday nights at 6:30 - 8:15 from 2/24/2024 - 4/21/2024 and we would like your group to stay for the entire session so that you can see for yourselves what Alpha is like.
Your group will be responsible to set up, serve and clean up whatever is left over after the meal. You might chose a meal where the left overs would appeal to your families!
The Alpha Team will have all utensils, cups and napkins for guests to use in eating. Your group will bring your own food prep containers and serving implements.
The Alpha Team will supply coffee, tea, and beverage options. Your group will brew coffee in the CFC kitchen, water for tea, and bring out the beverages and arrange them to be served.
